MIDAS
MIDAS stands for Minibus Drivers Awareness Scheme. It was started in Hampshire and is now operated across the country. Hampshire County Council and most voluntary organisations require their drivers to hold a current MIDAS certificate before driving their minibuses.

Community Action Fareham requires drivers to have a current MIDAS certificate for driving our minibuses. We can offer MIDAS training to our own and other organisation's drivers. Courses are run monthly and comprise a 4 or 6 hour classroom session and practical work. A 1 hour driving assessment is arrange shortly after the classroom session.
The course charges vary depending on requirements. Options are 'Standard', with the 'Accessible option' and 'Refresher'. Refresher training is required after 4 years. There are significant discounts for voluntary organisations.
