Sport Relief Comes to Hampshire
Administration of Sport Relief for Hampshire has been awarded to the embryonic Hampshire
and IOW Community Foundation http://www.hantscf.org.uk
Grants will range from £250 to £5,000; apply to info@hantscf.org.uk for an application form. We are told that the whole spectrum of sport will be included for consideration! -- less perhaps Formula 1 !!
Aim: to remove child ( 5 to 13 year olds) poverty by 2010.
While there is substantial funding in" the Children's Fund" for many areas in Hampshire - - it is all allocated to projects. The fund will continue until 2011 with ongoing 15% cuts each year. There may be an opportunity for bidding for new projects; but it is not something that organisations should hold their breath about! http://www.childrensfund.hants.org.uk/
