Awards
BBC Community Champions
Nominate a champion for an award;  BBC South is once again looking for your help to reward those individuals in our region who do something extra for their community  closing date Friday 11th May
 
 
Supporting Parents of Teenagers (SPOT) an 8 week programme that helps parents with teenagers - one running during April at Oak Meadow - call Sue Laney 01329 843127 for details of next.  Do recommend it - it really helps.
 
The Respect Awards for Taking a Stand (RAFTAS) are all about recognising the commitment, energy and courage of members of the public who have made real improvements in their communities, and inspiring those who want to do more to tackle anti-social behaviour.
271 winners were chosen out of the 740 nominations received for the 2006/7 Respect Awards for Taking a Stand, each receiving £1,000 to be spent on improving their local community. 100 received awards from John Reid and 4 case studies are on the website .  http://www.respect.gov.uk/article.aspx?id=9266

Community Assets £30m fund

We can issue e-news letter easily. So, to receive e-news directly (if you don't already) register on
www.farehamaction.org.uk/enews.htm  .  Enews can go to anyone and the more the better!
We are able to include news, articles and requests from Voluntary / Community Organisations. Items should be a Headline plus 2-4 sentences. Longer items can be included as a hyperlink, which we can create. A hard copy newsletters will be issued every couple of months, but most items will be sent in advance though the e-news.
