Portchester Voluntary Care Group Transport |
What are Care Groups?
There are over 120 Groups in Hampshire ( and many others elsewhere in the country). They offer neighbourly help to anyone in need, where no other help is available.
The groups are voluntary, independent and decide themselves , what kind of tasks they can do.
Portchester Voluntary Care Group
Our aim is to provide transport and if necessary, an escort, to Health Centres, Hospitals, Dentists etc. Our coordinators receive requests by telephone and then try to find a suitable volunteer who can help. All our drivers are insured and the group also has some public liability, personal accident and loss of money cover.
New Drivers Welcome Can You Help?
We are always interested in hearing from people willing to offer some time to help. Volunteer drivers should not be "out of pocket" so can , if they wish, claim expenses.
If you are in need of help or are willing to offer your services please telephone for further details
