     Alzheimer's Support

Alzheimer's Support within Fareham

The Fareham Alzheimer's Activity & Support Group provides information and support for carers, families or friends who are caring for someone with Alzheimer's disease or any other form of dementia.

The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month, from 1:15pm to 3:15pm.
The venue is : United Reform Church, 18 Osborn Road South, Fareham, PO16 7DG. 

Alzheimer's Support Management

Management of the Alzheimer's Support within Fareham is provided by the Portsmouth Branch of the Alzheimer's Society,
which serves the Portsmouth and South-East Hampshire area.

A 24 hour answermachine service is also available.

Two Dementia Support Workers are committed to working within the community to help people with dementia.
They are contactable via the phone number above, or on 07713391896.

The services these Support Workers provide, include :
- providing information over the phone
- carrying out home visits
    Alternatively, referrals can be emailed through to : Ann.Jones@alzheimers.org.uk.    
    There is no formal referral process, simply contact the support workers and they will start working with the Service Users.
- giving talks on dementia to community groups and organisations free of charge.
- attending events
