Becoming a trustee of Fareham Community Action

Trustees are those who take responsibility for the assets and activities of a charity.  It is a rewarding role.  Sometimes trustees stay with charity for many years other times they stay for a "term" just one or two years.  Trustees are usually elected by the membership of the organisation or invited by the Management Committee because it is looking for particular skills.  However trustees join it is important to understand responsibilities.  Fareham Community Action runs regular Trustee Training sessions or will arrange on for a whole management Committee.  Please call to find out more.

Many voluntary organisations including Fareham Community Action hold AGMs in the autumn.  A September or October workshop can give current and potential trustees all the information they need to join the charity with "eyes wide open" !

A check list for new trustees will be issued.
